Maybe it’s just me, but I find my days are getting busier in direct correlation with the arrival of this beautiful weather in Boston. Between final exams, team formals, parties (graduation or otherwise), and general end of year festivities/activities, I can … Continue reading
Today, I am wearing blue. My blue Chinese Student’s Association from my from my jiating mother, Krystle. My new striped blue shirt from aerie. My blue belt and blue legging jeans from the GAP. I am wearing blue in honor of World Autism Awareness Day.
Did you know …
- Autism now affects 1 in 88 children and 1 in 54 boys
- Autism prevalence figures are growing
- Autism is the fastest-growing serious developmental disability in the U.S.
- Autism costs a family $60,000 a year on average
- Autism receives less than 5% of the research funding of many less prevalent childhood diseases
- Boys are nearly five times more likely than girls to have autism
- There is no medical detection or cure for autism
You may not be able to wear blue everyday, but everyday you can empower yourself to help autism speak.
Happy Easter, from my family to yours!
My Cousin: Ryan, My Sisters: Meghan, Mary Kate, & Kerry, Me
In addition to being a joyful holiday, today is also my sister’s birthday. Kerry Elizabeth Cullen was born on March 31st 1990. After only twenty-three years of life, she is a Forest Lake Camp veteran, a magna cum laude graduate from the University of Scranton, a Dun and Bradstreet employee, a chicken nacho connoisseur (Redwoods for life), Broadway enthusiast, and a generally amazing person to everyone she meets.
Throwback Sunday (Kerry As A Babe)
Whether you are lucky enough to be her friend, sister, parent, grandparent, cousin, uncle, aunt , that’s just what you are … lucky. This blog is about styles I like. Well, Kerry’s style – opinionated, fiercely loyal, hilarious, ambitious, and genuine – is one I absolutely love. Happy birthday to you, Kerry. As Lena Dunham says, “Life can be scary. Life is much intense. And you kind of have to ride it like a pony or you’ll get a haircut.” Always ride the pony, Kerry. Your GIRLS are rooting for you!
We all love you more than you know,
Obviously Our Dancing Prime…
